Last summer, The Grapevine sent the famous mountaineer (well, he may not be famous yet, but he surely will be soon) Fabrizio Frascaroli, a long time contributor to the magazine, on a dangerous and desolate journey through the Icelandic Highlands. His goal was simple – to walk from one end of the country to the other. The walk took around 40 days and Frascaroli has written extensively about his journey for The Grapevine in a series of articles called Across the Country in 40 Days.
